The USB 2.0 to SATA Adapter with Power works with both low and high power devices. The USB to SDD HDD cable is bus-powered, allowing a 2.5-inch hard drive or solid state drive to be connected directly without an external power supply.

As a SATA 3.5 to USB adapter, it works with large power devices like 3.5-inch hard disks and 5.5-inch optical drives, but requires the included power adapter to provide enough power. You can use an Android phone or HDTV to watch HD movies on the hard drive without a PC. The universal drive adapter can be connected to an Android phone (with an OTG converter) to directly read the hard drive's data anywhere. It can also be used with an HDTV to enjoy HD videos with your family anytime. The adapter fits 2.5" or 3.5" hard disks, SSDs, CD-ROMs, DVD-ROMs, CD-RWs, COMBOs, and DVD-RWs.

The portable, cable-style SATA adapter features a slim, lightweight design for easy storage in a laptop bag or carrying case, making it easy to swap between hard drives without installing them in an enclosure. It has an LED light for easy troubleshooting. For CD-ROM based PC installations, you'll need to enter the BIOS settings to set the USB port as the boot device. It does not support laptop optical drives.

The adapter has a USB Type A male to 22-pin SATA female connector, supporting USB 2.0 and SATA III. It's plug-and-play with no driver installation required. No extra power is needed for 2.5" HDDs or SSDs, but a 12V/2A power adapter is required for 3.5" HDDs or SSDs. The adapter cable is approximately 2.6ft (0.8m) long.
