Apricorn 16TB Aegis Padlock DT Encrypted USB 3.0 Hard Drive

The Padlock DT by Apricorn is a line of hardware encrypted USB 3.0 Desktop drives available in various storage capacities. It is simple to use and offers top-notch security. With a software-free design, Padlock DT can be deployed without the need for Admin rights and is compatible with any USB-enabled operating system. The device features 256-bit AES XTS hardware encryption and authenticates the PIN number via an integrated keypad.

In the package, you will receive a USB 3.0 cable, AC adapter, Quick Start Manual, and the drive comes pre-formatted in NTFS. The Padlock DT is Aegis Configurator ready and supports independent Admin and User PINs, as well as Recovery PINs. Additionally, it includes a drive reset feature that clears all PINs and data, creating a new randomly generated encryption key, allowing the drive to be redeployed as needed.

The Padlock DT also offers an unattended auto-lock, two read-only modes, programmable brute-force counter, lock override for remote booting, and a lock slot to secure the drive to a permanent fixture. Furthermore, the encryption chip and circuitry are protected by a tough epoxy compound, making it nearly impossible to remove without causing permanent damage to the electronics.

Additional features include separate Admin and User Modes, compatibility with Aegis Configurator, Admin and User Forced Enrollment, Data Recovery PINs, and a programmable Brute-Force Defense. The Padlock DT is compatible with all operating systems, including Windows, Mac, and Linux, and only requires a USB port for use.
