Kingston's IronKey Vault Privacy 80 External SSD is an innovative hardware-encrypted external SSD that operates independently of the operating system and features a touch screen for data protection. The VP80ES is designed to safeguard against Brute Force attacks and BadUSB with digitally-signed firmware. In the event of a Brute Force attack, the drive will be crypto-erased if the Admin and User passwords are entered incorrectly 15 times in a row by default. Additionally, the drive is FIPS 197 certified and utilizes XTS-AES 256-bit encryption with a secure microprocessor that is Common Criteria EAL5+ (CC EAL5+) certified, and is compliant with the Trade Agreements Act (TAA).
