Apricorn's Padlock DT is a line of hardware encrypted USB 3.0 Desktop drives that are available in various storage capacities. Offering unparalleled security, Padlock DT is simple and easy to use. Its software-free design means it can be deployed without the need for Admin rights and is compatible with any USB-enabled operating system. Padlock DT utilizes 256-bit AES XTS hardware encryption and authenticates the PIN number via the integrated keypad. It comes pre-formatted in NTFS and includes a USB 3.0 cable, AC adapter, and Quick Start Manual.

Padlock DT is Aegis Configurator ready and can be configured with independent Admin and User PINs, as well as Recovery PINs. It also features a drive reset function that clears all PINs and data, creating a new randomly generated encryption key, allowing for redeployment as needed. Additionally, it includes unattended auto-lock, two read-only modes, a programmable brute force counter, lock override for remote booting, and a lock slot for securing the drive to a permanent fixture.

The encryption chip and circuitry of the Aegis Padlock DT are protected by a tough epoxy compound, ensuring that they are virtually impossible to remove without causing permanent damage to the electronics. It also offers separate Admin and User modes, is Aegis Configurator compatible, and supports Admin and User forced enrollment. Furthermore, it includes Data Recovery PINs and a programmable brute-force defense feature.
