With no moving parts, the Aegis Padlock SSD is drop and vibration resistant, unaffected by high humidity, and works in extremes of temperature. It is also invincible to key logging attacks, as you can access the drive with your own unique PIN via an onboard keypad. Certified to NIST FIPS 140-2 Level 2 requirements, this drive is tested on 11 cryptographic levels. All data on the drive is protected with real-time hardware AES-XTS 256-bit encryption, and no software is required for installation or operation, meaning it needs no ADMIN rights. Combined with a USB 3.0 integrated cable and SSD performance, it is a powerful drive.
The Aegis Padlock SSD also has a 5X greater life expectancy than premium rotational drives and works in extreme temperatures, from freezing temps of -40°F (-40°C) to searing temps of up to 158°F (70°C).
